Welcome to

Our History

Originating from a small group of farming women in West Gippsland, who sought to promote their role as farmers, Women on Farms has gone from strength to strength offering friendship, mutual support and women’s perspectives on agriculture to other women.

A non profit organisation, Women on Farms is committed to supporting farming women through networks, meetings, farm based activities and the annual Gathering.

Women on Farms meet on the first Tuesday of each month (except for November when we meet on the second Tuesday) and visit a different farming enterprise from 10 a.m. to about 2 or 3 p.m., with some local to Warragul and some requiring further travel.

Women of all ages with an interest in farming whether large or small are welcome to attend.

Women from all farming interests are involved i.e. beef, dairy, sheep, fruit growing, goats, alpacas etc.

Car pooling is encouraged.

Members from other areas are encouraged to ring around to organise rides.

Occasionally we may go on a bus trip to visit something further afield.

Membership is $25.00 per year and is payable prior to the A.G.M.
